As the fall season has begun I can’t help but want to add some new pieces to my wardrobe and I always start with some things I am lusting over and create looks from there. These are a few looks that can easily be worn multiple different ways but stand out alone as well.

LOOK 1 (left): Velvet and plaid are always fun to play into the fall season and pairing them together really seems to work. Specifically a grayish plaid is a really great current trend to look out for. I also love this top and it is also a current must have because of its off the shoulder detail. Pairing this look with a statement choker that has a large buckle definitely adds some edge to it and also these teal wrap around shoes are the perfect addition. I have this Opening Ceremony clutch/messenger in white with gold hardware but I think this all black leather one goes great with this look.

LOOK 2: Mixing different textures and fabrics is my favorite and fall is the perfect season for this! I love the ribbed mustard top paired with this long wool skirt. To break up this look a little I love the idea of adding a leather corset belt. This one is beautiful because of the intricate detailing and buckles. Throwing an oversized jean jacket over top would be perfect and these navy slides and you’re good to go with a look that will turn heads.

LOOK 3: This outfit excites me so much! I love pairing structured workwear for more casual attire. These olive trousers are amazing and I’d throw on a matching olive tight fitting turtleneck and this long navy vest-coat with some all white sneakers. I think adding the sneakers makes the look very casual but also adds a coolgirl vibe.

LOOK 4: Jumper dresses are very on trend right now and I think they are so cute. I love the idea of incorporating suede or corderoy into these jumpers. In order to make the look a little less school girl I think a knitted bootie would pair perfectly with this look.

I hope my little fall style vision board gives you inspiration on what to look for when shopping this fall! I’ve included multiple styles and options below for similar looks.

Wearing: Vintage Champion Mens Shirt (similar here or here) | Y-3 Sneakers | Louis Vuitton Alma Purse | Aviator Glasses (similar)

This will probably be my last post without a jacket. I shot this look before this recent shift in weather. It’s been so gloomy lately, New York is starting to feel like Seattle. The sun is actually showing face for the first time today. I feel like I’m always reporting the weather, ha! Since I’m only 4’11 it’s easy for me to pull off wearing a T-shirt as a dress, others aren’t so lucky so I’d definitely recommend wearing a spandex skirt underneath. Throwing an oversized jean jacket or even a camo jacket would look great with this look for fall. These aviator glasses have been such a trend lately, I wore them in an outfit post earlier this summer (here) and I loved the look. Champion is another oldie but goodie that made a major comeback over the past two years. The classic vibe that they brought back to the brand is amazing, although this particular piece is vintage. I threw on my trusty Louis Vuitton Alma and my new Y-3’s that I featured in my birthday haul (here).

Hope you enjoyed the post! Are there any trends you’d like me to sample on my blog for fall?

Hey… I’m back with a second post this week, I’m on a roll! Another left over from summer that I wanted to bring in with me to the fall season is delicate pieces like lace camisole and slip dresses. I posted a look a few months ago pairing a slip dress with a t-shirt underneath and now I figured I’d do the same with this lingerie-esque piece. I’ve had this sitting in my closet for way too long and never found an appropriate occasion to wear it because I’m not one to go too far with risque items like a lace camisole. Now that summer is over, it’s much easier to pair two unlikely pieces like this without sweating your ass off. I paired this with my denim cutoffs because it was still a bit warm when I shot this and some suede booties from last fall. I would have loved to throw a motorcycle jacket on top of this, but I’m no fool and couldn’t justify sweating for the shot, but I left some options for jackets below if you’re interested.

What are some trends you’re looking forward to wearing this fall?

fullsizeoutput_14As we are still in the transition season, I could never decide if I should wear pants or dresses. I’m sure we all don’t live in the same location, but we’re all going through the change of season whether slightly or dramatically. Here in New York it’s been really beautiful, about 70’s during the day and drops to the high 60’s at night. I’ve been throwing jackets on top of my summer blouses and dresses and jeans with lighter tops. This is one look I frequent, I love pairing shorts with a jacket. For this look I decided to go with denim on denim which is a trend that rarely goes out of style and currently oversized denim jackets are all the rage. I wore it with a nude bodysuit and some new balance sneakers.

I’m so excited to start throwing jackets over my looks, although I love the summer I’m so excited for Fall and the festivities that come along with it. I’m already planning my weekends around pumpkin/apple picking, vineyards, haunted houses, and staying home watching my favorite fall movies like Hocus Pocus, Halloween (the first 7 that is!), Scream, The Craft, and Casper. I’m also so excited to decorate my home for Fall. I’m thinking of doing a few posts about that so stay tuned!

What clothing pieces are you transitioning with this season?

Going away is definitely one of my favorite things to do, and Miami is also one of my favorite cities to get away to. I love the tropical feel that the lively city of Miami exudes. I was only there for a weekend for a friend’s birthday and we had no definite plans other than to eat, drink and relax. It turned more into a weekend of mayhem! We got carried away with the drinks within the first few hours and lets just say it led me to knock out for 12 complete hours and wake up at 4am to drink again. Hey! I’m still in my 20’s so that’s what weekend trips are for, right?

The rest of the weekend went a little more smoothly, but still filled with a large amount of drinking, dancing and some more eating. We took so many videos and if you follow me on snapchat (idaisyd) then you would have seen the chaos that occurred, it’s all laughs and memories now. I loved every minute of last weekend and can’t wait to take another trip like that. I’m back to reality now, which means papers, exams, work and barely any fun but that’s okay. I enjoy being back on the grind and it just gives me more of a push to take my next trip.

If you end up traveling to Miami I would definitely recommend:

TO STAY: Rent an AirBnB in one of the high rise condos.

TO EAT: The Daily Creative Food (Breakfast), Puerto Sagua (Lunch), Scarpetta @ Fontainebleau Hotel (Dinner)

TO DRINK: The Broken Shaker, Basement

Hope this helps if you’re thinking of going to Miami soon.

Back to school, back to NYFW, and back to life. Unfortunately summer has come to an end and when I say summer I mean the days where I can take a beach day or go on a random night out. That time has come to a close for me because the fall semester has commenced and this is my last year in college. I have a ton on my plate, and although I had planned so much for summer posts for my blog and YouTube, none of that worked out the way I thought it would. I posted here and there, but my lack of consistency is very evident. I’m taking 6 classes, working and going to the gym at least 3-4 times a week which leaves little to no time to work on content. However, for some reason this is the time of year I find most of my inspiration and energy to post content for you guys.

I received a number of NYFW invites and I’m trying to squeeze them into my tight schedule, but realistically won’t be sure of my attendance until the day before. This is unfortunate, but is the same thing that has happened to me for the past seasons. I also have a weekend trip to Miami coming up in a little over a week which I am thrilled about. I haven’t been on a plane since January in the Philippines so I can’t wait. I will definitely be vlogging/shooting out there for my YouTube and blog so keep on the lookout for that.

As for what to expect in this new season… I posted a Back to School Makeup Tutorial recently, but also will be posting a ‘What’s in my School Bag?’ video, fall outfit inspirations, OOTD’s, product reviews, new beauty routines and much more!

Thanks for listening to my little rant and if you have  any specific requests for posts, please leave them in the comments.

It’s been such a hectic July and it’s gone by so quickly. I’m definitely sad to see it go, but I celebrated the 4th, many birthdays, including my own, and so many outings. I think it’s safe to say that July came and conquered. I had such an amazing birthday and can’t believe I turned 25! I never expected my life to be where it is today. Of course I wish I was done with school and well within my career already, but things don’t always go as planned, but I am excited to see where these upcoming years take me. I love the direction that my blog is going and hope to continue to share a little more of my personal life and experiences as well as sharing my thoughts on beauty and fashion. I haven’t taken many photos or I should say professional photos for my blog lately because my camera has been acting out and it’s time to get a new one. My new baby should be coming in the mail later today, which I am so excited about. I can’t wait to update my content for you all.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to shoot any professional photos of this look, but I did get a quick photo on my iPhone and am so glad I did. I am in love with this look. Everything is very simple, but goes together so well. I wore this outfit to a baptism, I had this dress in my closet since March and have been waiting for the day to wear it. It’s a knit or ribbed material dress so a little heavier, but still comfortable to wear in this heat wave. I paired it with my new Stuart Weitzman shoes, which I’m obsessed with and my Chanel bag. I couldn’t find a link to this exact dress but I included some very similar options below. This is the perfect daytime look for brunch, day party, or you can even dress it down with some sandals and a backpack. I would highly recommend you check it out.

Hope you enjoyed this quick update and look. I will be back with better content soon! Stay tuned.

Marc Jacobs recently launched these new highlighting glow sticks and I’ve been using it nonstop since I’ve received it. I am pretty much obsessed with every item I try from Marc Jacobs beauty line. My top two favorite foundations are from this line as well as my all time favorite lipstick and mascara which brings me to the conclusion that Marc Jacobs can pretty much do no wrong. I would love to try out more products like the eye-shadows and blushes because I’ve heard some great things.

Today I want to discuss this glow stick in the shade spotlight (700). It looks like a deodorant straight out of the package and I was a little skeptical about it but after using it I think the packaging is genius, so easy to apply and glides on really smooth. The product itself is so pigmented and blends in effortlessly as you can see in the photos above. I think it’s the perfect illuminator for summer and if you wanted to glow even more you can add a powder highlighter over top but it’s not really necessary. It looks really natural and gives the perfect glow. Definitely check it out if you can because even though it’s a bit pricey I think it’s so worth it!

It’s finally summer and I can’t contain my excitement! This is my favorite time of year and although fashion choices are getting a bit skimpier I always like to stick with classics. I don’t like to wear horizontal stripes too often because they tend to make you appear wider but this one is an exception to the rule. I love it so much I have it in white too, such an easy shirt to throw on for summer. I paired it with a mustard short to add some color and threw on these clear aviator glasses that I’m thinking about getting a prescribed version of because I’m so obsessed. Can’t wait to share more summer looks with y’all.
